Stories of Strength
09.01.05

This is an anthology with all proceeds to benefit the hurricane relief efforts. My nonfiction essay is titled, FORGET ME NOT. All of this was made possible by author and editor, Jenna Glazter.

Stories of Strength

My story is featured in the section, "The Strength to Start Over." I wrote this about a very difficult time in my life, as well as my family's. I hope those who read it and have gone through difficult times themselves will realize situation can get better, though it may seem hopeless at the time.

Book Description: Born in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, this anthology shares stories about what it takes to beat the odds. More than 100 writers contributed these essays, fiction and poetry to raise money for disaster relief efforts in the region. Featuring writing from Orson Scott Card, Wil Wheaton, and Robin Lee Hatcher. At times tear-jerking, at times humorous, this book is guaranteed to inspire and remind readers that the human spirit knows no boundaries.

This book can be found at your favorite book store, or available for purchase online at Amazon and Barnes and Noble. You can also visit the official website Stories of Strength.

Writers Net Anthology of Prose: Nonfiction and Children’s Literature
10.01.02

My Children's story, JACK AND THE CELERY STALK, a fairytale remake, is published in this anthology. Editor, Gary D. Kessler.

What began as a story I wrote back in high school, over the years and through periods of revisions, was accepted into this anthology that was put out by website Writers.net. My story takes scenes from commonly known fairytales and adds a twist to each one, creating a complete story of a boy who's taken away on an adventure when overcome by curiosity.

Book Description: The WritersNet Anthology of Prose reverses the trend of the publishing industry expanding onto the Internet. What began as an on-line evaluation and editing workshop on the WritersNet website turned this trend on its head when the best of the material submitted by writers across four continents, both published and unpublished, both previous best-sellers and those seeking their first appearance in print, was published in this two-volume anthology. This project not only showcases the widely diverse talent of new and established writers and has established a new common-purpose dimension of community among the writers participating in WritersNet, but it also serves the community at large, as all profits above production costs are being donated to the Salvation Army in remembrance of the events of 9/11. The resulting collection of thirty-one essays and three children’s short stories by twenty-eight separate authors provided in this volume two of the anthology, WritersNet Anthology of Prose: Nonfiction and Children’s Literature, is much more eclectic than is normal with such works. These works defy the normal “common thread in content” rule. You can find something here to entertain you—and to make you ponder—no matter what your reading pleasure. Explore and enjoy.

This book is available for purchase online at Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
